The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
